Humboldt, Iowa – A Path to the Future of Wastewater Management
When PeopleService took over water and wastewater services in Humboldt, Iowa, our operators saw there was a serious problem with outdated facilities. The filter plant in town was non-compliant, the collection system was deteriorated and there was a lack of water storage – among other issues.
PeopleService immediately set out to fix the issue. Our operators helped establish private sewer service standards and completed a major sump pump inspection program. During improvements, a 2.3 MGD lime softening plant was added, along with two 500,000-gallon water towers.
