Put Pipes on Your List

During the winter months, we make sure to not be hasty and throw caution to the wind when driving, going for a run or doing a number of outdoor activities, so why should we treat utilities any different? Each year lots of people find themselves on the receiving end of burst pipes, and as we all know, there is no quick and easy fix to those. That’s why we offer these helpful tips to avoid frozen pipes to pass along to citizens this holiday season!

1. Open cabinet doors to allow air flow around pipes.
2. Remove garden hoses from houses.
3. In extreme cold, leave cold water running with the stream of water being the size of a pencil.
