The Clear Take on Water and Wastewater Today

The importance of having a seat at the table.

Alan MeyerIn my 31 years with PeopleService, all I’ve ever asked for was a seat at the table – the opportunity to tell the PeopleService story to communities who recognize the need for help managing their water and wastewater operations. That help may be in the form of upgrading their plants, replacing retiring staff or meeting new standards. Through the years what we’ve had to offer – and how we do it – has resonated with community leaders in five Midwest states and we seek to never let them down. Three of those community leaders will join me at the table to present at the Iowa League of Cities Annual Conference September 26 in Dubuque. Jennifer Cowsert, Administrator of Elkader, Iowa, Travis Goedken, Administrator of Humboldt, Iowa, and Christine Yancey, Administrator of Riverside, Iowa, and I will talk on the topic of The Truth About Outsourcing Water/Wastewater Management, dispelling the myth that communities lose control when they hire a company to help them with their needs. In fact, communities gain control through more consistent management of their systems and harnessing expertise from seasoned professionals. If you’re in Iowa and attend the conference, please see us at this presentation and visit our booth. If you aren’t in Iowa and would like to learn more about our topic, contact me. Happy to discuss anytime.
